Today, while on a driveway job with COD NXT GEN Concreting, at 24 andrew campbell drive narangba qld , I experienced an unprovoked confrontation. A colleague responsible for reversing a truck behaved rudely without reason. I chose to ignore it initially. However, when my truck got stuck under his instruction, he tried to shift the blame onto me, despite clearly being at fault as the guiding party.
Later, when the truck got stuck again under similar circumstances, he struck the truck with a scraper. I stepped out and calmly addressed him, saying, “Why are you hitting the truck? This is your fault—you don’t know how to give proper instructions.” He then aggressively pushed me, attempted to punch me, and had to be held back by his mate. During the altercation, he shouted racist remarks, including slurs about immigrants.
This was a clear case of verbal abuse, racial discrimination, and physical aggression in the workplace, and it deserves serious attention.
